Coach
If you want to start the program at your school, we will support you and, if desirable, present the program at your school! We can provide information material, flyers, videos and sample problems.
The best way to get started is to coach a first team – either alone or together with a colleague or a parent. Parents can support, for example, by hosting team sessions, car pooling, transporting props and watching the team’s performance. Attend our Coaches Training to learn more about your role, the program and its rules.
With several teams in one school, it is recommended to elect a school coordinator to communicate with Odyssey of the Mind Germany on behalf of the coaches.

If you want to get a glimpse behind the scenes before starting the program at your school, or you want to continue your Odyssey experience after competing yourself, come join us as an Official.
We always need people to help organizing competitions and events and make sure everything runs smoothly, especially in the following areas:
- translation work
- team registration
- information stand
- in-house catering
- merchandise & sale
- judging & scoring
- competition assistance
- event moderation
- photography & videography

If you want to support the organization and help us organize competitions and other events, join the board. The board is comprised entirely of volunteers, most of which are Odyssey alums themselves.

- Design & Merchandising
- IT, Registration, Website

While being a member is not a precondition for participating as a team member, coach or official, more than 90 friends of Odyssey of the Mind Germany are currently supporting us with volunteering hours and a small annual membership fee.
