Despite the adversities and difficulties that the organizing team has faced in the last few weeks, the Odyssey of the Mind German Finals 2020 could take place - very successfully so.
We would like to thank the Humboldt-Gymnasium Potsdam and their representatives, who made the courageous decision to welcome us at their wonderful school at very short notice and supported us with good advice and helpful assistance.
In spite of short-term rescheduling, the organizing team managed to give the teams an exciting without any big difficulties. So thanks to all the people behind, on and next to the stage who worked late into the night during the days before the final; thanks to the officials who decided to spend one of their free Saturdays with us and of course thanks to all teams, coaches and parents who participated, supported, watched- and above all: had fun.
Your creativity, enthusiasm and commitment is what makes Odyssey of the Mind what it is. We hope to see you all again next year!
Special thanks to the Humboldt-Gymnasium Potsdam, all teams, coaches and officials for magical performances and a successful day! Remember - everyone is a winner, because you all performed well without exception!
We will notify you if the is any other changes during this time.
On Saturday, 09 November 2019, we started the OM season together: A total of 24 teams took part in this year's Spontaneous Day at Humboldt-Gymnasium in Potsdam. The "old hands" were able to improve their spontaneous skills in "verbal", "hands-on" and "mixed", while “newbies” were given the chance to master the tasks brilliantly for the first time. Furthermore, the teams had the opportunity to learn some new tricks in workshops to improve their acting skills.
In addition, the participants had a chance to try out designing an OM T-Shirt during the day's task: Will we see a design again at the German final?
